Odisha suffered 61-run defeat against Bengal in their fourth and last league match of the East Zone Under-19 Womens Cricket Tournament at JSCA Oval in Ranchi today. Paramita Roy starred in the Bengal win with an unbeaten 57. Bengal collected five points for the impressive win, while Odisha settled with one point.
Electing to bat, Bengal were all out for 147 in 45.5 overs thanks to a 56-run last wicket stand between Paromita Roy ad Priya Panday. In reply, Odisha folded up for 86 in 45.2 overs. Odisha skipper Swagatika Rath performed well bagging two wickets and top scoring with 30 runs.
This was the third defeat in four matches for Odisha girls, who lost their first match against Tripura, won the second against Jharkhand and lost the third against Assam.
